The aim of the "Welcome to Poland’ programme is to internationalize Polish institutions of higher education and science, e.g. by increasing the university's potential in terms of servicing international students and academics.

Welcome Center, established at the university as a result of the project, is part of the UKW International Relations Office. The tasks of the Welcome Center include organizing the stay of foreign students, doctoral students and researchers. Guests and foreign students of UKW can count on support in dealing with official and living matters. Welcome Center staff will also deal with initiatives related to the integration and adaptation of foreigners in the academic community.

An important aspect of the project are activities aimed at the so-called internationalization at home. NAWA funds will be used to finance classes aimed at improving the didactic competences of lecturers in the field of conducting classes in English. Promotional activities will also be carried out as part of the project.
